Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
PG-13
A great sequel to the original film that arrived in 2007. To the casual moviegoer who has no background on the Transformers or wasn't lucky enough to be a kid in the 80's and have the privilege of watching the cartoon every Saturday morning, they will be quite entertained by the blend of comedy from Sam and his family, the high energy action footage of the Autobots and Decepticons, and the dramatic relationship between Sam and Mikaela. When the previous film came out in 2007 a lot of people were expecting a flop and when it surpassed expectation, this sequel had to do the same and for the most part it does. There are some minor flaws such as the impossible way that TSgt Epps has become a CMSgt in less than 2 years (no way can that kind of rank be attained that fast in the real world), the technology certain people are using in the film (like how the signals analysis software does all the work for you) etc, but all in all the movie packs a punch and is a must see if you enjoyed the previous film. Overall I'd say 4 stars.
This film was an absolute delight in many aspects. Going in, my biggest question from seeing the trailer was "How exactly is this guy killing all these people from inside prison?" Obviously there were many ways to accomplish this feat and the film didn't immediately make it obvious how he was doing it which allowed for the viewer to still postulate the method before it was finally revealed. Both lead actors put up strong performances which leave you understanding and siding with both of them, although eventually only one is left standing. Overall it was a great film with 4.5 stars.
