    It made me fall asleep.

Critics hated this movie. So I went in with low expectations. Very low. Well, you know when you do that...the movie is going to come out better than expected. Yes, this wasn't the most dynamic script. In fact, we've seen this all before. But for what it's worth, this film works t...( read more)o a certain extent. It does address the issues of trust, loyalty, and what exactly is a family. Sela Ward is a personal favorite of mine. She performs well as a single mother ready to marry again, but then she meets a nice guy (well...the audience knows he 's a psycho) and is blinded by what she see and her quest to be happy again.

Believable...yes. But the movie doesn't move beyond the basics. It is what it is.

"The Stepfather" is yet another movie remade that is very suspenseful at times and entertaining to make it worth the time.

The movie is predictable but it kept my attention. I am a fan of Sela Ward since she is an ex-Alabama Football Cheerleader..ROLL TIDE!! lol :)

The Stepfather is a pretty lame movie. I don't know if anyone put everything they had into making a quality movie here, but if that person did, the end result is pretty sad. It's a standard, nothing special, nothing unique, nothing suspenseful, nothing scary movie. Nothing.

I'm...( read more) thinking that after watching the finished movie, they called the young woman back and had her bob around in a bikini to put something worth watching in it. Still wasn't enough. Sela Ward is beautiful, and still does nothing for the movie. The rest of the supporting cast also offered nothing special.

You know the guy's a villain. You know everything that's going to happen. Nothing more than the previews. They gave everything away with the previews, and offered nothing but space between the clips.

It's nothing more than an average made for TV movie beefed up and put on the big screen. If you go, do so not expecting anything.

All in all it was pretty good but I just loved the original from 1987? so much that it was hard for me to 100% love it. However the main guy, where has Hollywood been hiding him? He's gorgeous.

the ending was not satisfactory at all.

I thought this movie was kinda good and even though seems like you have seen this type of moive before and pretty sure we have but it was solid still.

Michael Harding (Penn Badgley) returns home from military school to find his mother Susan (Sela Ward), happily in love with a ...( read more)man known as David Harris (Dylan Walsh). He seems like the perfect father and husband to everyone - except Michael, who suspects that he isn't quite the man he seems to be.

Along with his girlfriend Kelly (Amber Heard), his biological father Jay (Jon Tenney), and Susans friends (Paige Turco and Sherry Stringfield), they slowly start to piece together the mystery of the man who is set to become his stepfather, but they may be too late in getting to the truth.

In the end, David and Michael fall off the roof of their house and both are left unconcious. After being in a coma for a month Michael finds out from his girlfriend and his mom that David got away when the police showed up. The scene switches to The Stepfather working in a different area with a different name and he ends up meeting another woman with children

This was an okay movie. My sister, her friend and me were laughing through this whole movie about how cheesy it was. Like when Dylan Walsh aka The Stepfather was supposed to look menacingly instead of being scared we were laughing. So if anything, if you want a good laugh go see ...( read more)this movie but during matinee so you can at least save some money.
