I enjoyed The Proposal. But, I am sucker for romance and sometimes chick flicks, I like a fair amount of cheese with my film entertainment, and I want to lick a variety of substances off of Ryan Reynolds toned body.
Yes, you can see parts of the plot unfolding before your very e...( read more)yes, but I still enjoyed this movie. And to it's credit, they did add a few little twists here and there.
I do enjoy Sandra Bullock as well, so I liked seeing her in this. She still looks great. It was nice to see Craig T. Nelson as the dad. I haven't seen much of him since his Coach days. I love Mary Steenburgen. Although she wasn't as comically intriguing as in Stepbrothers, she was still good. Betty White is always a joy to watch. Although, nothing will beat Mrs. Bickerman from Lake Placid or Rose Nylund from The Golden Girls, she is still a joy to watch on the screen.
If you like chick flicks and romantic comedies, you will want to check out The Proposal.

I saw this on a plane heading back to LA and I usually don't like romantic comedies that tend to be too unrealistic, but this one I liked, because as it seemed to get unrealistic, it actually came back to earth and got real. It wasn't the fairy-tale "off into the sunset" ending....( read more).. which I like, because it's easier to relate to something that can really happen. STILL, it is a movie and the likeliness of this happening so fast is crazy, but i think it got the point across. Having been an assistant before to an attractive woman (producer), I related... and loved the office scenes when everyone gossip'd or was afraid of the boss!

Not the worst chick flick I've ever seen but nothing new. If Richard Gere played Reynolds' character I imagine my rating would have gone down 2 and a half stars.
