I loved it as a child but on re-watching it I find myself disappointed. I give it an extra star for prosperity

To watch this movie, you really do have to suspend some disbelief. A pretty fun adventure type movie with some interesting characters.

I've just watched it..... Well I tried to.... it's very dated..... The "Dinosaurs" are hillariously just modern day reptils filmed close up..... but why was there a luminous green tarantula???? lol

I'm not quite sure whether this was intentionally funny or not. Real lizards that are supposed to be dinosaurs, some hammy acting and a cheesy storyline but put it all together and it's quite enjoyable.

Even allowing for the age of the film, this is shoddily made poop. The lizards/dinosaurs are laughable and Jill St. John's character has to be the most annoying female lead since movie-making began. There's not even any decent matinee idol totty to make the effort of watching it ...( read more)worthwhile.

Ok I did miss the start of this film, but I have to say unless some horrible distaster in filming happened between the start of the movie and when I tuned in I feel I have the ability to judge.
Now you may well wish to argue that for its day this wasn't a half bad monster movie...( read more), I'd just argue that King Kong came before this and was the far supirior of the two.
Highly comical, although not for the right reasons, more for the fatc that the dinosaurs were just lizards with a bit of costume stuck on them, and for the fact Jill St John's character could possibly be the most pathetic, annyonig and hilarious damzel in distress in cinema history. I felt really let down she didn't die, I mean if you do come on an adventure like this with a poodle and red boots on you desever to die!
Not bad entertainment for a lazy day but if you are after a serious monster/dinosaur movie I'd suggest you over look this one.
