    Creepy and good.

Zachary Levi (Chuck). What a great guy. Not in near enough films and I didn't even know he was in this as it's not like widely shown except for in the starting credits of the film. So i didn't see this movie coming. Talks about a loner who is socially awkward and I totally sympat...( read more)hized and like wow, someone made a movie about me. But then the stuff gets twisted and the main character, Joel Moore, calls up his boss Zach in the wee hours of the morning having a breathing attack saying he did something bad. Zach is really is patient with Joel, I mean REALLY patient. He puts up with his off behavior although he does it in such a way sometimes that he acts like he's better than Joel. Joel is like a train wreck of a person. Keeps to himself and doesn't really handle dealing with people well. No wonder why I empathize with this movie. However there is this one girl Amber that takes a shine to him even though he stays to himself. The story doesn't really unravel so much as you follow Joel's day to day life and what seems like a mental breakdown at times. Amber's character gets closer and closer taking a shine to Joel but he's about as emotionally available as a corpse. He has a dark secret that you can't tell if it's real or all in his disturbed mind. I love how Zach plays Xbox during one of the parties. Makes such a great nerd. Amber has such endearing qualities. She's so sweet and sincere. She's also forward and puts up with Joel's retarded tendencies. Can only happen in a movie. Finally as the movie progresses and Amber gets closer it's like you get to see more of Joel's character, almost like he's opening up. It's like you are learning about him as she does. It's a nice directorial touch. As the movie goes on it becomes more of a romance. You don't see so much of his demons as he opens up and falls for Amber. Then suddenly the weird finds a way to creep back in and surprise you. Perfect way to see how women can be fine one minute then flip weird and change on you the next. Don't get it at all. Wow it takes a real twist. Kind of saw it coming but the way things unwrap is great. The best PG-13 drama movie that is twisted that I've seen in a long time. It's moving and tells a great story. I really enjoyed this even though it seems to follow the whole "need a twist" type of plot motivator. Was a pleasant surprise tucked away from most. I love this film.

Spiral was nothing short of genius.

The acting was amazing especially by David Joel Moore who also starred in Hatchet another of Adam Green's films.

Some might think the movie a bit slow but I see it as building a foundation and great Character development something you d...( read more)on't see enough in a lot of films lately. Moore plays Mason, an introverted and emotionally disturbed man who goes to work at a drab job and also leisurely loves to paint. He loves to paint beautiful women. Amber Tamblyn plays the new girl "Amber"at Mason's place of employment and she for some reason is drawn to him' after a few lunch time meetings Mason starts painting Amber when she visits his Apartment " One that holds many secrets" .

They strike up an friendship that leads to somewhat of a love affair.

This is when it all starts to unravel..

What ensues next is intense and I couldn't stop watching. The story is amazing and the ambiguous nature of some of the content is also genius because it allows us to come to our own conclusion. There is a line in the film that I can't get out of my head, It's when Mason is talking to his brother Berkley "Zackary Levi", the line is " How do you know if Their real or not?" It sounds like nothing now but watch the film and you will see. it was heart breaking and chilling all in one. This is a film that will stay with you long after you are finished watching it.

A bit Lynchy but gets old very quick. The lead's performance started to annoy me a lot. It was quite predictable and i was fairly glad when it ended.

It was good... once it ended.

Spiral is a wonderfully dark and intense film that holds up to any of today's big-studio thrillers.

I love me some freaky movies! This was a bit hard to follow, but it ended up very good. This guy was an effing whackjob!

This film is genius! It's the closest thing to Hitchcock since Hitchcock.
