Good Flick, better than average.
Hurry up and watch this one 'cause, like, I hear they're re-making it. Ugh, these guys never stop, huh? :P
Seventy-five years ago this movie probably seemed like something terrifyingly genuine. Now, when technology allows toilets to self-flush, "King Kong" is only good for nostalgic value. Anyone with at least one eye can see that, from afar, the dangling people in Kong's hands are made out of clay. I don't mean to be too harsh on this movie but it suffers from a lot aside from the special effects: pacing, acting, etc. I do, however, really like the last line in the film.
The screaming of Fay Wray got a bit irritating but it is a great classic for it's time the effects were amazing and today it still seems pretty good as well it was a ok classic.
King Kong is a true classic not only of the horror genre, but of all time. By today's standards, the effects are a bit hammy, but for the time they are mind blowing! The action sequences are terrific. But it's the ending that is the best part. "It was beauty killed the beast!"
Considering when it was made, this was pretty good, though somewhat risque, don't you think? You could see the girl's nipples during part of the movie and I don't think she was wearing a bra. I had to laugh at parts though when I think of how far technology has come.
