May 31, 2007Jack Black is possibly the worst thing to happen to the world since....well life was better until he came along. The movie sucked.
There were too many mistakes (the most frustrating being King Kong's magical size changing ability), the acting was rubbish, it was un-believably boring and I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to be glad the thing died.
Only worth watching should masochism be your thing. -

May 24, 2007As if! I'm even more in love with APES (Kong is an ape, not a monkey) than before.
In many ways, Peter Jackson's King Kong improves on the original. The original is one of my favourite films ever, but this version easily stands along side. Sometimes, I really do think it's a better film. -

February 3, 2007It was good, not great... To long though, more than anything else that was wrong with it, for the story and what it needed to convey. Over 3 hours long when they could have done it in less than 2 1/2 is pathetic!

January 23, 2007This is Peter Jackson at his best. Jack Black adds a comic twist which is brilliant. Naomi Wattas and Adrien Brody contribute a romantic element which is soft, easy, and exciting. The special effects are brilliant. Andy Serkis, as he did for Golem, has created a savage but humane, character in King Kong. King Kong is the star, and most potent actor in the movie...a must, giving homage to the original King Kong. Thanks, Mr. Jackson...you are for real.
