Gloriously violent, consistenly surprising. Uma Thurman has never been better.

I have no idea whether or not I am the only human being on Earth who considers 'Kill Bill' to be idiotic, but hey, each to their own.

Uma Thurman is as convincing as is possible for her character, but the yellow jumpsuit really makes me laugh. Very stealthy indeed, canary yello...( read more)w. And I know it's meant to be over - the - top, but the Bride killing ten armed people without breaking a bone or even a hair out of place? Come on.

As a mindless action, it's brilliant. But as a serious, thought - provoking movie, it scores 0 points. I like the fact that Quentin Tarantino admits that he 'steals from every single movie ever made', but it still doesn't make the movie any fresher.

Tarantino has potential; that is, he's not untalented. But his fixation with ultra - violence is sick. Just plain sick. I've yet to see one movie of his that isn't filled with unnecessary gore.
And really, I cannot think of a more preposterous storyline. Or a more horribly, embarrassingly exaggerated script. The violence is wholly unrealistic. But it's still average in my books, owing to a few clever camera tricks.

I'm sorry, it just didn't do it for me. I guess it's a 'Love it or hate it' kind of film.

This film isnt really a film to be honest haha its merely a big homage to a variation of old films and styles, Bruce Lee, martial art flicks and old ninja/samurai stories. The action is glorious and gorey, nothing is left to the imagination as the claret flies and limbs get hacked...( read more) off haha
The action is also very well done, the look is slick and fast with lightning sword fighting sequences and perfect camera work throughout. The casting is also very good as most Tarantino flicks are, the use of old movie stars and bringing them back into the limelight is always a nice achievement and probably the more interesting results of his films.

The only problem is the film is really just a long battle sequence which copies other old films pretty obviously but it looks good haha
    Style over substance.

Very stylish but it suffers from QT's usual annoying dialogue. Enjoyable plagiarism.

''As I lay in the back of Buck's truck, trying to will my limbs out of entropy, I could see the faces of the cunts that did this to me and the dick responsible. Members all of Bill's brainchild - the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. When fortune smiles on something as violent...( read more) and ugly as revenge, it seems proof like no other, that God exists, and not only does He exist, you're doing His will.''

Betrayed, left for dead by the man she loved and her Ex-assassin Co-workers, when she awakes from a coma finding her unborn baby gone she vows revenge and sets out to do just that, ending with the infamous man Bill...

    Uma Thurman: The Bride

    Lucy Liu: O-Ren Ishii

Violence, more violence, Quentin Tarantino's thing about feet, black humour, awesome Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu and the soundtrack will blast your socks off if you have good taste ;) stick this film with the 2nd and your in QT heaven.

Bill As David Carradine (the Kung Fu series man) is inspired casting. His dry wispy voice always i never tire listening too. Was annoyed when i first saw this at the lack of seeing him in the first volume although i see now how clever his lack of appearance is and builds up viewers enough to see the next one.

The fight scenes are off the chart this is truly one of the greats which i saw at the cinema which had a massive impact on me. Definitely has vibrant use of colours, Black & White, and dialogue that woos you into submission. Seeing this with Rach again i see yet more things that intrigue such as music and certain scenes. A definite classic.

A masterpiece! Really, excellent! Normally I don't like action, fighting and all that stuff so much, but I love this movie. The acting of Uma Thurman is also very good. The part with the animation was very original, the music was good, special effects were great. Kill Bill is a recommend!
