It's a real shame they didn't stay with the original script of a load of Monks living on a wooden planet. The first film is about rape, the second about motherhood and this one was supposed to be about faith but it all went a bit tits up. Never mind, its still a good film. Finche...( read more)

Nothing really happened. No surprise Fincher disowns this film. It's a shame when this happens. Alien resembling host (dog alien) cool idea. But can't remember much else

Misunderstood and often overlooked. Fincher's debut is much stronger than most give it credit for.

Great look, gorgeous alien design, the movie grows on you. Despite its problems this flick has grown to become just as popular as the first two films, the brown and orange hues in the set design and feel of the film really appeal to me and make the film stand out on its own. Anot...( read more)

I like this film for 3 simple reasons. First of all, it's got a great lead actress, Sigourney Weaver who has always proven to be great in the role of Ripley whether she's human or cloned. Second, the film has a really dark tone and a lot of style thanks to director David Fincher ...( read more)

It's pretty good, and for the third part of any series, it's fantastic. Definitely a continuation of the story, and not just another sequel.
Directed by a David Fincher, who has gone on to direct my favorite actor, Brad Pitt, three times (in "Se7en," "Fight Club," and "The Cu...( read more) -

The backstories of how Fincher left during editing and the various other script treatments are more interesting that this convoluted entry.

May 10, 2008I have some thing to say if you liked this movie you need to watch more movies first rewatch the first 2 and then watch the 3 one they butcher the alien story in this one it is rubbish even with the extended stuff it makes more sense that does not make it better

January 6, 2007I actually like it (Especially the 2003 extended version).
It's my favourite out of the series, and it's very underrated. It's more of a religious drama than a horror movie (Think "The Seventh Seal" as a science fiction movie). -
August 13, 2006A big dissappointment in the series. We're reduced from watching people struggle with hundreds of Aliens in the previous film to struggling with just one here. There is a distinct lack of action that was clearly present in the previos two films.

June 23, 2006Probably my least favorite of the series, but an important part nonetheless. The storyline is easy enough to follow, but isnt as well paced as the others, making it a bit boring sometimes. However, even though this one was a bit shabby, the creature never loses its horrific nature, or its capacity to scare those watching.
