A very dramatic opening leads to a very powerful yet subtle film. Its the best post 9/11 that doesn't so much deal with the actually disaster itself but acts as a social commentary to the atmosphere in New York at that time, albeit through the eyes of a condemned man, trying to r...( read more)

I really liked this movie. The cast was great, and Ed Norton is incredibly sexy. Of course the Irish aspect is always good too :)

Critic Reviews
The first great 21st century movie about a 21st century subject. full review
The film is unusual for not having a plot or a payoff. full review
It could have been more taut, could have been harder, but 25th Hour still resonates with power and poetry. full review
Lee is firing on all cylinders, and the actors match his energy. full review
At its best, 25th Hour is a melancholy tone poem, deeply affecting in its mute apprehension of loss. full review
If 25th Hour does not quite work as a plausible and coherent story, it produces a wrenching, dazzling succession of moods. full review
